Keynote speakers: Kylene Beers author of When Kids Can’t Read/What Teachers Can Do and Robert Probst author of Response and Analysis and co-author with Kylene of Reading Nonfiction: Stances, Signposts, and Strategies and Disrupting Thinking: Why How We Read Matters; Julie Washington, Professor and Chair of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Georgia State and the director of the research center on language and literacy in high risk and impaired populations; and GACIS member and author of Architects of Deeper Learning, Lissa Pijanowski.
