Where We Have Been and Where We Are Going

Tuesday March 27, 2018

The GAEL affiliate and associates executive directors have approved the 44th Annual Summer Conference Theme of Where We Have Been and Where We Are Going.    Four of the general sessions at Summer GAEL will focus on what we have done well in the past and what we need to work on for the future as well as a look are some of the most profound innovations in technology and curriculum that will impact the education looks and feels in the next ten years.

In addition to those sessions we will invite the general election candidates for governor, lt. governor, and state school superintendent to speak on Sunday afternoon.  That should put some early fireworks into the Summer Conference!

One of the new family activities that we have planned for 2018 is the first ever 4H Cornhole Tournament on Monday night.  The 4H sponsored event will accompany the Rhodes Putt-Putt Tournament as well several other family fun activities to round out the GAEL Summer Carnival.

Summer GAEL promises to provide plenty of learning and fun activities.  July 8-11 will be a grand time to be on Jekyll Island!
