ADVOCACY & LEGISLATION

Why advocate?

Over 49 million students attend public schools, K-12. Whether the educational policy concerns standards, assessments, teacher quality, accountability, funding, school reform, instructional practices, or other aspects of curriculum and instruction, curriculum leaders must work to shape policies that support teaching and learning. Educational leaders working together have a strong unified voice to shape educational policies that prepare students to compete and succeed globally. Advocacy begins with you communicating with policymakers and making your voice heard.
