Program Description

Classroom Assessment for Learning is designed to help educational leaders understand the use of high-quality, student-involved classroom assessment and its results to enable students to become confident, competent lifelong learners capable of controlling their ongoing academic success. This workshop is grounded in the research shown to increase student motivation and learning through improved classroom assessment. The interactive two-day long workshop is designed to explore the relationship between a balanced assessment system and increased student performance.  Participants will be introduced to the researched-based approach of balancing high quality, student involved, formative assessments with building, district and/or state-wide summative assessments.
